(more…)The one thing people hate to see this time of year is the monthly utility bill. When the temperature rises so does our air conditioning usage. Here are a couple of suggestions to help keep costs down this summer: Replace that old air conditioner. We know the cost of replacing an air conditioning unit may seem too costly, but in the long run the energy and cost savings will make a big difference. If you don’t already have one, get a programmable thermostat. With a programmable thermostat you can manage your entire building whether you are there or not.
A few easy ways to choose an HVAC Contractor for your next project are:
1). Referrals. It is always a good idea to ask business connections or friends if they know someone. Also, if you find a someone you think might be the right contractor for you next job, it is ok to ask for referrals from them and check around.
2). Search online. It seems that this is the solution for most of the services we look for. Just make sure you check references and ask for a written estimate.
3). Call AME! Our team has the skill and expertise you need in an HVAC Contractor. We are happy to answer any questions you have and are there for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
With summer around the corner and hot weather quickly approaching, is your HVAC system ready? In order to keep your system running efficiently and not costing you a fortune, there are a few things you can do. Changing your filters monthly is easy and can have a big effect on your HVAC system, removing debris around the exterior system, clearing the drainage hole around your air conditioning system and adding a smart thermostat which will regulate the temperature as well as alert you to more cost effective and energy saving suggestions are all tasks that can be done easily. As always, routine maintenance is key.
We are currently working on a project for Newark Beth Israel Hospital The project will include an upgrade for the Building Management System to a Niagara N4 Platform Building Management System web-based user graphics for the Chiller/Condenser and boiler plant, operating and isolation rooms. With this new upgraded system, we were able to give Beth Israel Hospital the ability to avoid blackout periods by maintaining the integrity and continuity of system operations. A real time BMS dashboard with analytical displays will also be added to complete this project.
To help keep your commercial HVAC systems in great shape, AME has a few suggestions to give you.
We recommend regularly scheduled maintenance which can prevent avoidable issues, making repairs when needed to avoid more problems and when necessary, replacing your system which can save you money and create greater energy and management efficiency.
Indoor and Outdoor units have some similar maintenance checks like lubricating mechanical parts or fan belts, making sure there is no debris around or in the units and checking and repairing any damaged parts.
Our experienced technicians are available at any time to come out and check on your buildings’ system. So many issues can be avoided with proper care and maintenance.
Let us know if you would like us to come out and make sure all your HVAC systems are in perfect working order before the hot weather begins.
